Press!

February 2nd, 2012

2011 was an excellent year for press for me, and 2012 is starting out very nicely! I am featured in the February issue of the Greater Columbus Arts Councils ‘Front Row Center’. I was interviewed by Jennifer Sadler about public art. The article in the picture here is from the GCAC’s 2011 Community Arts Partnership Awards. I was one of three artists whose work was bought by the GCAC and presented to the award winners. My artwork is now hanging in the AEP building downtown Columbus!

S.Dot gallery show

November 2nd, 2011

On November 8, 2011, I will be installing new artwork in the S.Dot gallery. It’s the smallest place I’ve shown my work by far, and I’m making miniature artwork for it. The gallery will not have an opening reception or gallery hours, but the work can be viewed on S.Dot gallery’s facebook page.

Mobile for Hamilton, Ohio.

October 11th, 2011

This fall, I’m working on a large scale mobile for Riverview elementary school in Hamilton, Ohio. The school overlooks the Miami river, and the fish and birds in the mobile are based on the native species living in and around the river.

GCAC artist in the schools

October 9th, 2011

I was officially accepted into the artist in the schools program.
I’m currently working on two outdoor sculptures with students at Indianola Alternative k-8. I’m hoping to install the artwork before the winter arrives.

Bexley mobile

October 9th, 2011

Last school year, I worked with a group of Bexley High School students on a mobile for their cafeteria. The finished piece was installed in the spring, with a fancy dedication ceremony. It was great teaching with Susan Powers, and the students were a talented and wonderful bunch!
