On Wednesday, October 29, I will have an opening for my solo show at West Liberty State College in West Virginia. It’s at the Nutting gallery in the Hall of Fine Arts. I’ve been working on a new series titled ‘the 7 houses of McCain’, and a few of the houses will be at the show in West Liberty.

On Thursday June 19, I will have an opening at the WARD gallery in Harbor Springs, Michigan. There will also be an opening at Ciao Bella! in Petoskey, Michigan on Thursday, June 17. On the way to Petoskey, I will be stopping by the River gallery in Chelsea, Michigan, to put a new mobile in their beautiful gallery. Visit my Flickr photostream to see more of my recent work.
From August 5 through September 6, I will be showing new work at Art Access Gallery in Bexley, Ohio. The opening is on August 5, from 5-8 PM.
In July and early August I will be teaching summer camp at the Columbus Academy. The sewing class is full, but there are still a few openings for ‘project on the runway’. We had a test ‘project runway’ at my children’s school; I volunteered many fun-filled hours helping young designers make fabulous outfits from thrift-store clothes.

March 9th, 2008
Because of the unusual amount of snow we’ve been getting, the opening for Sunday, March 9 has been canceled. We will reschedule for April, when we’re pretty sure the weather will not interfere. I will add the information when we have a day and time picked out, most likely the event will be a Friday ‘happy hour’.

March 3rd, 2008
On Sunday, March 9, there will be an opening reception from 1-3:30 pm for my solo show at Ohio Dominican University’s Wehrle gallery. The Wehrle gallery is located at 1216 Sunbury Road in Columbus, Ohio. The title of the show is ‘the distance between us’, and it will feature new mobiles and paintings. The show runs from March 9 through April 20, 2008. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 10 am -3 pm.
Toledo Children’s Hospital has my large-scale commissioned mobile in the lobby. The size of the space is 40′x30′, and the ceiling is 40′ high. The work was installed in December, and the official opening was in January, so pictures of the work can now be viewed! It’s the biggest piece I’ve worked on so far, and it looks beautiful.

In December I also installed artwork at the Ypsilanti library in Michigan. I am very fond of libraries, so I’m happy to have the work in such a great place.
In March and April I will be working on a large commissioned outdoor piece. It’s made of aluminum, and will be painted. A welding shop is helping me make it, which is a good thing, since welding wasn’t my favorite or most successful skill to learn in college. Once the work is unveiled, I will have pictures on the site.
